Event details
Join RMWCA for a discussion about Indigenous rhetorics and the Writing Center! This event will be held on Tuesday, May 12 from 12:00-1:00 PM MT on Zoom.
Attendees will be empowered in their respective roles to learn insights in how to respond to the rhetorical needs of American Indian students. Facilitated by Jessica Nichole Begay, this workshop focuses on supporting students in their writing and research, through engagement with Scott Richard Lyon’s ideas on “Rhetorical Sovereignty." Administrators and tutors can support students by giving them the agency to “determine their own communicative needs and desires” and imagine a future that is Indigenous-led through Indigenous-Futurisms.
